This Mistake Grows Emetophobia (the Fear of Throwing Up) 😱
This video is for educational purposes only and is not intended to replace the guidance of a qualified professional.
So many people make this mistake when trying to tackle their Emetophobia, the fear of throwing up. They learn a ton of coping skills to handle the fear of throwing up and they make this assumption…
If I deep breath, I’ll feel less nauseousÂ
If I think this thought, I’ll feel less nauseous
If I do this coping mechanism, I’ll feel less nauseous.
And then people check. I did this, do I still feel sick? I did that, is the nausea gone yet?
Unfortunately, the more you check, the more anxious you become and the more nauseous you feel. It becomes a vicious loop.
In this week’s YouTube video, I talk about how to break this cycle and truly learn how to make Emetophobia (the fear of throw up) better.
