This Makes Social Anxiety Worse

Social anxiety feeds off one main thing. Avoidance. When we fear criticism, judgment and rejection from others, it can feel like too much to put ourselves out there. It might feel easier to cocoon yourself in your own home and not risk rejection.
Unfortunately the more we avoid, the bigger our social anxiety grows. The bigger our social anxiety grows, the more we avoid. It creates this vicious loop.
In this week’s YouTube video I talk to kids and teens about how this avoidance loop grows social anxiety and what we can do to disrupt the pattern.
