One response to “PSP 016: Fear of Pooping and Toilet Phobia. Yeah, It’s a Thing.”

Thank you for your advice on this podcast. We have tried the reward thing with our 4 1/2 year old daughter for well over a year now, but like you said, that won’t work unless we tackle the fear issue first. Her fear isn’t necessarily going to the bathroom, as she can easily pee there by herself. She is afraid of the poop leaving her bottom and it falling out, so she always gets a pull-up when she wants to poop. Is that a thing? Does anyone have any ideas to overcome this fear?
