This video is for educational purposes only and is not intended to replace the guidance of a qualified professional.
OCD can wreak havoc in many areas of your child’s life, but when it targets their eating it can become a major health issue. ARFID, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder can be caused due to OCD intrusive thoughts. It is a slippery slope that can cause severe weight loss and for some, even hospitalization.
In this week’s Youtube video I talk to kids and teens about how to be aware of OCD’s attempts to hijack their eating and how to make their countermoves to maintain their mental and physical health.
