Here’s the Way to Handle OCD Regardless of Theme

I often get very specific questions. Natasha, how do I handle this type of OCD? or What exposures should I do for this OCD theme?

In this week’s YouTube video I talk to kids and teens about the simple framework to use to handle OCD and any new theme that pops up.

Honestly, the answer is always the same.

Themes and subtypes can help us categorize our child’s OCD and it can even help us spot patterns in compulsions, but it shouldn’t slow us down.

You don’t have to learn different approaches for every new OCD theme.

Once you know the framework of how to tackle each intrusive thought or feeling, you can address any new theme the same way.

To help explain this foundational framework, I have made a Youtube video that kids and teens can watch.
